Lisa, Business Manager

Lisa manages all aspects of the practice and oversees the office to ensure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently. She was born in Hollywood, Florida, and she's lived in Melbourne since 1984, briefly living in Gainesville while her husband, Dr. Nichols, pursued his dental degree. Lisa has a well-rounded background in the dental field, having fulfilled various positions in over 16 years including lab technician, receptionist, manager, and dental assisting. Because always improving the practice is so important to Lisa, she's taken continuing education courses in Lumineers, Invisalign, CEREC, and practice management. She likes that the office of Dr. Jeffrey Nichols is focused on quality patient care with exemplary customer service! Lisa is a great fit for our practice because she's goal oriented, organized, resourceful, and has great time management and problem solving skills. She is great with people and prides herself on creating a team environment where patient care comes first. Lisa loves spending time with her family, and she enjoys music, traveling, fine dining, decorating, reading, movies, and just kicking back and relaxing with her husband and their two dogs, Lily and Trinket.

Shannon, Administrative Assistant and Dental Assistant

Shannon was born and raised in the area. She graduated from Vero Beach High School and went on to Indian River Community College for her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification. She received her dental radiology certification from Valencia Community College and is currently attending Eastern Florida State College for further education. She’s actively worked in the dental field for over 19 years in both clinical and administrative settings.

As an administrative assistant, Shannon greets patients with a smile, checks and files dental insurance for patients, and reviews the financial aspects of a patient’s treatment with them. She also clinically assists Dr. Nichols when necessary. Shannon knows that she’s a great fit for the profession because she’s a people person who enjoys the company of her patients as well as her coworkers. She appreciates that their cohesiveness as a team makes the day run smoothly, which is what she looks forward to at work! She enjoys using her knowledge of the dental field to help patients and answer their many questions.

Shannon has been happily married for over twenty years, and together, the couple has two wonderful sons and one happy dog. When she’s not at the office, Shannon likes to attend baseball games, swim, and go to the beach with her family. She really enjoys walking the beach looking for sea glass and shark teeth.

Lisa, Registered Dental Hygienist

Lisa hails from Shillington, Pennsylvania, but she has resided in Florida since 2000. As a registered dental hygienist, it’s Lisa’s job to perform dental cleanings, take X-rays, examine patients, and provide instruction about proper oral hygiene. She’s been an active member of this profession for over 33 years after she earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Temple University School of Dentistry.

Lisa loves the practice she works for because she appreciates that she and her colleagues actively work together as a team to provide quality care for each patient. Lisa enjoys getting to know all of the patients of the private practice, which she describes as modern, clean, and state-of-the-art. Lisa loves being a dental hygienist because she is committed to improving her patient’s oral health while providing the highest quality of care. Lisa communicates well, takes the time to listen, and has the capability to be gentle but thorough during her cleanings, which makes her ideal for this role.

When she’s not at the office, Lisa enjoys cooking, travelling, sewing, exercising, and scuba diving at the beach. She also volunteers at Take Stock in Children, which mentors at-risk youth. Lisa loves to cuddle with her dog Bitzy, who is an adorable Papillon and Shitzu mix.
